ACT Ombudsman Quarterly Report Released

The ACT Ombudsman is pleased to announce that our latest quarterly update is now available. This is the third quarterly update of the 2020–21 financial year and reports on activities of the ACT Ombudsman from 1 January to 31 March 2021.

This quarter we received 158 complaints and finalised 167, with the largest number of complaints received relating to ACT Corrective Services, followed by Housing ACT and Access Canberra.

Our achievements over the last quarter included:

  • finalising an own motion investigation report into ACT Policing’s administrative framework for engagement with the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community
  • recommencing our Freedom of Information practitioner forums and Reportable Conduct practitioner forums
  • recommencing face to face outreach to the Alexander Maconochie Centre.
